When you choose Abi's cakes for you special occasion you will receive a friendly and professional service, offering an amazing range of options including indulgent chocolate cakes, delicately iced wedding cakes, cupcake towers, novelty cakes, fun iced cookies and elegant wedding favours.
These cakes don't only look great. Just as much attention is lavished on making each cake taste delicious. A wide range of flavours is available. Special diets are also catered for. Each cake is baked to order and contains top quality ingredients including free range eggs. Organic and free trade ingredients will be used by request,where available.
At least 3 months notice is usually required for wedding cakes, and 2 weeks for other occasions but as spaces are limited it is advisable to book up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Occasionally last minute bookings maybe available so please do get in touch and ask!

Vanilla sponge sandwiched with Abi's home made raspberry jam (when available) and vanilla buttercream

Traditional rich fruit cake with rum soaked fruit
Espresso coffee andwalnut cake with espresso buttercream
Moist lemon cake with lemon curd and lemon buttercream
Zesty carrot cake with orange buttercream
Rich chocolate truffle cake with Belgium chocolate ganache filling
Dense chocolate torte with Belgium chocolate ganache filling (made with ground almonds this gorgeous cake is wheat and gluten free)

Abi's cakes currently delivers wedding cakes throughout Cumbia, Lancashire and Yorkshire please ask for a quote. Other cakes can be collected form Abi's Cakes, at Low Park Farm, Endmoor, nr Kendal.

About Abi
Abi Whelan grew up in Dorset. After studying Art and Design at Bournemouth College of art she went on to achieve her degree in fine art at the University of Brighton. Through out her years of studying Abi supported herself with various jobs in catering, developing a love of working with food. Abi has been combining her love of food and her artistic abilities for over 15 years to produce her fabulous cakes.
After several years of running her successful cake business in West Sussex , Abi has now relocated to Cumbria. She now bakes all her cakes in the AGA of her farmhouse kitchen at Low Park Farm near Kendal.
